Right now I am in Rishikesh in the north of India (see photo below) reflecting on what happened in 2016 and planning for this year. 2016 was a busy year, with new projects started in Stockholm, and international expansion of the Run With Me concept. This blog post is a summary of what happened in 2016, and what is new and exciting for 2017!
The Sandalford Vineyard Half Marathon was run last Saturday at Sandalford Winery in the Swan Valley in Perth. It was the first event held at the Perth vineyard, with three previous races being held at the Sandalford Estate in Margaret River. For me it was a chance to run a race with my sister, which I was rather excited about given we hadn't done that before and rarely see each other these days with me living in Stockholm.
The TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2016 was on last Sunday, it was my third marathon, as painful as ever, but a big improvement and a highly satisfying PB. I signed up because I was looking for a run in October and had heard good things about the race - well organised, a nice route, great city, and flat, not surprising given the landscape of Holland, but what you want when you are trying to run a PB!

When the sun comes out in Stockholm, good luck trying to get a Swede (or Australian living here) to stay inside! We have a short summer, but when the weather is nice there is no better place to be than Stockholm. People often ask me for recommendations, so in this blog I will summarise 10 of my favourite things to do or places to visit over summer in Stockholm. And guess what? There is no "go running"!
At the end of 2015, a year where I was plagued with running-related injuries, I decided that I should start to think about other forms of training, ones that might ease the impact on my body, and especially on my knees. Should I get back into gym training, something I used to do a lot of in my early 20´s, or try something different, something new?!
